Itinerary
We start from the island of Tenerife — our starting point at the foot of Mount Teide. The first stage is a short crossing to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote, where we will make a stop to prepare for the start and enjoy the fantastic volcanic landscapes of Timanfaya National Park.
Next, we set course for the island of Madeira — 270 miles with following winds. The crossing will take 4–5 days. Along the way, you can expect real hands-on seamanship and ocean fishing. On Madeira — beach relaxation and two full days for excursions to the most picturesque spots on the island.
Our next stop is Cádiz, where we will make a thorough halt to prepare for the ocean passage: rig inspection, provisioning, and cross-checking weather forecasts. Then we head for Gibraltar: we plan to transit the strait during daylight hours to practice navigation skills in heavy traffic conditions.
From there, we continue to Cartagena — a chance to rest and replenish supplies before the final leg of the journey. Next, we moor at the marina in Ibiza, stroll through the old streets, and explore local sights. Then — a short crossing to Formentera with a swim in the turquoise waters.
The final stage is an overnight passage to Mallorca. We finish at the historic Muelle de la Lonja pier in Palma. On 8 November, we disembark, completing our great voyage.
Over the course of this exciting route, we will encounter six beautiful islands of the Atlantic and Mediterranean: Tenerife, Lanzarote, Madeira, Formentera, Ibiza, and Mallorca.
You will acquire and practise key maritime skills: plotting courses on paper and electronic charts, sail handling, and skippering the yacht at different times of day and night. An ocean of vivid impressions and beauty awaits us. All of this — under the attentive supervision and support of a captain who has crossed the Atlantic and sailed to Antarctica. He will share stories of storms, ice navigation, and the psychological aspects of life and teamwork during long passages.
